Educating and Empowering....

Kenya Partners focuses its efforts on four key programs - all of which are designed to combat extreme poverty and to make a life-changing impact upon those we serve. Our goal is to uplift, encourage, and empower them, while recognizing their strengths and preserving their dignity.
Doctor with Child - Health Care Services

When we started in 2006, we focused on making a difference in one community, forming relationships with the people of Kenya. Our belief is that we can best preserve their dignity through relationships. Nakura is located 2.5 hours northwest of Nairobi, in the Great Rift Valley, and many of its inhabitants live in extreme poverty. There is a lack of safe water, and sanitation is poor. People here die of diseases that Americans don’t worry about, such as measles, and many women die giving birth.

Health care is inadequate or unaffordable, and HIV/AIDS has left more than 2.1 million orphans. Our goal is to combat this by providing orphans and vulnerable children with the health care services they need, quality educations, and visions for the future. Our primary care facility is open 24 hours a day with a dental and eye clinic. We also offer maternity services and feeding centers to combat malnutrition.

Our education services started with the construction and operation of a boarding school for 700 orphans and needy children grades K-12. This school is for every child throughout Kenya, and provides superior education in a loving, faith-based environment. Education is the greatest hope for children to avoid hunger, violence, abuse, and exploitation, and it is the only way to break a cycle of poverty. The school motto is “Developing Minds, Inspiring Excellence, and Impacting Generations”.

In addition to our boarding school, we continue to expand with two preschool centers, one built in the slum area. Together, they reach almost 400 children. Our goal is to provide education to lift the nation out of poverty one individual at a time.
